About Me

I am a Black, Fat, Queer woman who believes in the power of community and nurturing connections. My therapeutic style is informed by a passion for creating diverse, equitable, and inclusive environments while utilizing a holistic, intersectional, and person-centered approach. It incorporates a trauma-informed lens and strengths-based perspective to support clients in learning healthier ways of being.

I have extensive experience working with various populations including high-risk children and adults, survivors of intimate partner violence as well as immigrant and LQBTQIA+ communities. I have worked with clients living with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorders, Schizophrenia, trauma, substance use, relational and adjustment issues, gender and sexuality concerns, aging, chronic pain and more. I am proficient in crisis intervention for suicidal ideation and self-injurious behaviors.

I utilize various therapeutic techniques sourced from evidenced based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance- Commitment Therapy to aid clients in healing.
