About Me
Hey there, I’m Rachel – a queer psychotherapist who has received clinical social work training, with a specific focus on trauma-informed care through a social justice lens. My expertise lies in providing therapy for the LGBTQIA community, with a strong emphasis on identity exploration and self-acceptance as well as trauma processing, anxiety, and depression. I believe that building safe and accepting relationships is the first step toward healing.
As a therapist, my primary objective is to work collaboratively with you, ensuring that you feel heard and understood. In a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment, we will work together toward your empowerment so you may achieve your goals.
My therapeutic approach is dynamic, and rooted in the principles of trauma-informed care, anti-oppressive practice, and social justice. We will work together to customize your therapy plan according to your preferences and goals, incorporating elements of multiple techniques, models, and evidence-based theories. Our sessions will encompass an exploration of your past, present, and future, addressing any issue that is important to you.
